About the Role

The Registered Midwife / Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate care in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice in accordance with Calvary's policies and procedures, as well as relevant government health policies and industrial agreements.
  • Provide direct care to mothers and newborns in our maternity unit, utilizing a patient-centered approach to patient assessment.
  • Provide direct care to all patients on St Gerard's ward (women's and children) using a patient-centered approach to patient assessment.
  • Maintain continuity of care for each patient.
Requirements
  • Current Registration as RM/RN with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in a neonatal or maternity and an acute care hospital setting.
  • Bachelor Degree in Midwifery or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organization.
