Midwife Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Midwife to join our team at Mid North Coast Local Health District. As a Registered Midwife, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and effective midwifery care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team environment to provide outcome-based care.
• Plan and coordinate midwifery care, including on-call shifts to support the needs of the Maternity and Gynaecology Program.
• Hold an unencumbered driver's license and be able to travel to various locations as required.

Requirements

• Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the provision of midwifery care relevant to a continuity of midwifery care model.
• Proven clinical problem-solving skills to maximize midwifery care.
• Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
