About the Role

This is a Category A position with NSW Health, requiring a Registered Midwife to provide safe, efficient, and effective midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and current policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing and promoting midwifery care in a multidisciplinary team environment, providing outcome-based care and participating in a flexible roster arrangement including on-call to support the needs of the MGP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing midwifery care to patients in accordance with current standards and policies.
  • Participating in a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the provision of midwifery care.
  • Proven clinical problem-solving skills to maximize midwifery care.
  • Effective clinical communication skills through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate midwifery care in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Participation in a flexible roster arrangement including on-call to support the needs of the MGP.
  • Hold an unencumbered driver's license.
