MSS Security Pty Ltd is a leading security company with a national footprint across Australia, offering the highest quality of service to protect high-profile sites.
We are seeking experienced Security Operators to monitor surveillance systems, manage incident responses, and coordinate communication between security personnel and emergency services at the University of Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of security experience and a valid control room license. Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment are essential.
About the Role
As a Security Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, managing incident responses, and coordinating communication between security personnel and emergency services. You will also oversee access control and visitor management, respond to emergencies, and handle daily phone inquiries.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary ranging between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also enjoy full-time employment as a Campus Officer at the University of Melbourne, with access to free parking on site. You will enjoy complimentary access to our on-site gym and receive coffee and food vouchers for your convenience.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full Australian Working Rights
- A current Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
- A Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Proven control room experience
- A current valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
- A current drivers licence
- Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and quick decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
