About the Role

As a Strategic Business Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated business strategies that drive operational excellence and ensure high standards of governance.

The role is accountable for statutory compliance and performance across business planning, legal, human resources, communications, governance, and risk functions. It oversees a group that supports executives across the organisation, requiring a leadership approach that empowers direct reports while maintaining accountability for outcomes.

This position drives continuous improvement in work health and safety, governance, and enterprise risk management, fostering a strong and cohesive risk culture.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement integrated business strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • Lead a high-performing team to support executive decision-making and drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and performance across key functions, including business planning, legal, and human resources.

Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, business management, human resources, communications, government relations, or a closely related field.
  • Experience:
  • Extensive senior executive experience, with a strong track record in strategic leadership, statutory reporting, and policy development.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent issue management capabilities, including sound judgment and discretion.
  • Able to quickly develop a deep understanding of legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity.
