Senior Data Analyst Job Opportunity

As a senior data analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning and rationalizing legacy data products from various environments to a new platform.

This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact and be exposed to a wide range of complex data challenges. With a smaller size compared to major companies, you will have a greater circle of influence and be able to support and uplift the capabilities of more junior peers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate delivery of data products across all business areas
  • Reporting, dashboard creation, analytics, insights generation, project support, data extraction, transformation, maintenance, and documentation
  • Writing, implementing, debugging, and testing data queries to ensure compliance with business rules and logic
  • Supporting colleagues and fostering a collaborative environment focused on knowledge sharing and teamwork
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders, subject matter experts, data engineers, analysts, testers, and delivery teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in data or technical analysis, with a focus on understanding requirements and data mapping documentation
  • Strong proficiency (~5 years) in SQL and/or Python (or similar) languages, with advanced data manipulation skills
  • Strong proficiency (3+ years) in PowerBI or similar visualization tools, including expertise in DAX, data modeling, and visual design best practices
  • Ability to cross-skill in database programming languages and work with raw, uncleaned data; exposure to cloud environments is advantageous, especially in transitioning legacy data products to AWS/Databricks
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering data outcomes to business stakeholders, collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience in finance or banking, with a good understanding of regulatory obligations, data assurance, and governance
