The Role of Technical Officer Grade 2 Microbiology Laboratory Pool involves applying advanced technical judgment and specialised knowledge across complex testing methods within the Bacteriology Department.

Responsibilities include performing and verifying complex tests, supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing technical advice to clients, and contributing to procedures and equipment assessments.

This is a challenging role that requires an experienced professional with advanced bacteriology expertise, committed to laboratory quality and client service.

You will work independently and lead minor technical projects, ensuring high-quality, timely outputs that support clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bacteriology, with proven problem-solving skills and strong knowledge of quality systems, WHS, diagnostic practices, and relevant legislative and accreditation standards.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing priorities, upholding service standards, and supporting continuous improvement, contributing reliably to a high-functioning diagnostic team.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who can contribute to the delivery of 24-hour diagnostic services and provide exceptional technical support to our team.
