We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled Staffing Optimization Analyst to become a vital member of the Workforce Planning team at YMCA NSW.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities to deliver data-driven insights that support operational decision-making. Previous experience in a Workforce Planning capacity and familiarity with workforce management systems (such as Dayforce or Kronos) are essential. Additionally, you should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Excel, and the capability to extract and analyze data for business insights. Experience in developing and maintaining resource plans is also required.

About The Role:

Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, the successful applicant will provide workforce data insights and assist the broader Workforce Planning team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creation and upkeep of resource plans to identify staffing shortages and future hiring needs.
  • Support the rostering process as necessary, including covering absences or high-demand periods.
  • Conduct ad-hoc demand and resource planning for new services.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to uncover continuous improvement opportunities in workforce planning.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities through the development of dashboards and operational reports.
  • Perform labor budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Collaborate consultatively with key stakeholders, including Operations, People & Culture, and Finance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and leader in the adoption and implementation of the Workforce Management system (Dayforce).
