Technical Specialist Role

This role involves analysing and optimising systems interaction with exchange systems holistically. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to uncover performance improvements across the trading stack.

This role combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving to drive business outcomes in a demanding technical landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Behaviour Analysis: Understand complex system behaviour, identify performance bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities.
  • Innovation & Experimentation: Design, implement and test innovative ideas, experiments and technologies.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Liaise effectively with traders, software and hardware engineers, and infrastructure teams to share insights and implement solutions.
  • Performance Optimisation: Analyse large datasets to identify patterns, validate hypotheses, and optimise system performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A deep understanding in one of the following areas would be an advantage:

  • Strong knowledge of computer internals, Linux systems, and networking.
  • Proven commercial experience with Python and/or languages like C++ or Java.
  • Familiarity with low-latency hardware technologies.
  • Understanding of complex networks and networking stacks.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning, and system-level optimisations.
