Energy Network Optimization Specialist

As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing complex energy networks for superior real-time control and management. Our Digital Grid Management software suite is designed to meet the increasing demand for resources from a rapidly growing population in a profitable and sustainable manner.

The Role

This position offers broad exposure to advanced applications of our Digital Grid Management software suite, including Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO), Outage Management Systems (OMS) and Switch Order Management (SOM). You will work across functional teams to deliver exceptional performance of complex energy networks, serving as the primary point of contact with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects in the ADMS portfolio and serve as technical support expert.
  • Support implementation of control systems at electric utilities.
  • Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
  • Support testing events with the customer.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes.
  • Interface with GIS teams to extract, translate, and load electrical network models to the Distribution Management System.
  • Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirements and test with customers.
  • Support customer training on system operation.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues observed on live systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, preferably Electrical Engineering or Power System Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Power System Engineering, including Outage Management System and Switch Order Management Application Engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues in software applications.
  • Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Effective time management and context switching between multiple tasks are required.
