About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Dementia Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing volunteers, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate volunteers, ensuring their effective deployment and engagement
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance volunteer experience and retention
  • Collaborate with the National Volunteer Manager and Volunteer Coordination peers to achieve team goals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using the Better Impact database
  • Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of event volunteers for Memory & Jog events
  • Promote volunteering opportunities through local portals and recruitment platforms
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Team to ensure effective logistical planning and communication

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant diploma, certificate, or tertiary qualification in volunteer coordination or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in volunteer management or a related role
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
