Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the People and Education Manager to develop, lead, and drive the People and Education plan, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic focus.
- Identify risks and coach leaders to reach commercially sound, people-first solutions in managing complex people matters.
- Support the timely execution of annual People and Education activities, including Performance Reviews, Talent Development, Remuneration Review, and Compliance Updates.
- Provide expert advice, consultation, and coaching on employment law, relevant legislation, contract interpretation, and the application of MECCA policies.
- Review pulse metrics and work with leaders to establish, monitor, and implement action plans to address gaps and inefficiencies.
- Partner with leaders to strategize and advise on talent management and training needs, ensuring that high-potential team members are identified, developed, and engaged, with robust succession plans in place for critical roles.
- Collaborate with the WH&S team to maintain a safe and injury-free workforce across all sites, in line with MECCA policies.
- Strategic thinking capability, enabling you to contribute to planning and seamlessly execute those plans.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, negotiate, influence, and provide feedback in a collaborative and consultative manner.
- Confidence in decision-making, even in the face of ambiguity.
- Strong self-management skills, with the ability to set personal development goals and manage your workload effectively.
- A robust understanding of targets/KPIs, coupled with the ability to analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Commercial acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into effective people strategies.
