Job Description:
">We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Family Violence Intake and Assessment Practitioner. As a key contributor to our organization, you will play a vital role in delivering screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, allocation and coordinated referrals.
">About the Role:
">This is a permanent part-time position, working 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) at our Orange Door location in Bentleigh. You will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing risk and needs of women and children experiencing family violence within a multidisciplinary team.
">Your Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough screenings, assessments, and triages to identify clients' needs and develop effective service plans.">
- Provide support via phone, in-person at the hub, and outreach services to ensure safe and informed practice.">
- Collaborate with colleagues to initiate Central Information Point requests and allocate services effectively.">
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM system, adhering to privacy and information sharing policies.">
- Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and contribute to service model improvements.">
What We Are Looking For:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.">
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments.">
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly women and children experiencing family violence.">
- Knowledge of cultural safety principles and Best Interest Assessments.">
- Familiarity with referral options and support systems available to vulnerable families.">
- Ability to positively contribute to consultation processes, communities of practice, and continuous improvement initiatives.">
