Job Description:

The Director Operations plays a pivotal role within the Commission's senior leadership team, overseeing key responsibilities and driving strategic objectives.

  • Leading the Commission's Operations team to achieve exceptional performance
  • Developing and implementing complex legislative and policy changes to drive operational excellence
  • Establishing and managing practice systems and processes to enhance efficiency
  • Oversight of the Commission's performance framework to ensure alignment with strategic goals
  • Proactive monitoring and improvement of policies, procedures, and management systems to drive continuous improvement
  • Effective operational management across human resources, infrastructure, workplace health, safety, wellbeing, risk, and compliance, and information technology
  • Development and implementation of an effective engagement plan to foster collaboration and communication
  • Management of operating budgets to optimize resource allocation
  • Implementation of the Commission's risk management plan and continuous improvement program
  • Delivery of corporate services and projects to meet business objectives
  • Advice, mentoring, and support to team members to enhance their skills and development

As a member of the Commission's senior leadership team, this role contributes to ongoing review of legislative and policy change, provides leadership and appropriate management of resources, and ensures oversight of strategic and operational performance.
