Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and guest-oriented casual Guest Service Agent to become a vital part of our dynamic Front Office Team at Sir Stamford at Circular Quay. The Guest Service Agent will report to the Assistant Manager on duty and subsequently to the Front Office Manager, holding full accountability for delivering exceptional guest service during every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient and professional service, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for guests.
- Extend a warm welcome to every guest approaching the reception area.
- Assist in preparing group arrivals under the guidance of the senior receptionist.
- Manage foreign exchange transactions for guests, including converting credit card payments into foreign currency.
- Report any guest complaints or suspicious activities to the Assistant Manager on duty or the Front Office Manager.
- Proactively promote room sales and other hotel amenities whenever feasible.
- Oversee car park charges and validations, ensuring accuracy and addressing all communications from the car park.
- Facilitate faxing and address business center requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the hotel industry is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Familiarity with a reservations system, particularly Opera, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Outstanding organizational abilities and commitment to completing tasks.
- Capacity to foster teamwork with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills.
- A proactive approach with a genuine passion for hospitality and travel.
