About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and engaged professional to lead our facility maintenance team.

The role will oversee all new developments, redevelopments, maintenance and upkeep of hospital buildings and associated engineering infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of hospital infrastructure ensuring seamless service and minimal disruption
  • Leading technical governance and operational oversight of critical facility engineering systems including fire protection, HVAC and electrical infrastructure
  • Managing hospital buildings both interior and exterior in collaboration with on-site contract providers
  • A dynamic and solutions-focused leader with a proactive approach
  • Oversight of external contract partners to ensure performance aligns with agreed service levels
  • Budget management including quote comparison and cost control
  • Strategic input for life cycle replacement forecasting and planning
  • Ensuring site compliance with WHS and legislative requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • Experience managing complex technical sites with buildings of varying age and condition
  • Proven ability to manage contractor performance
  • Background in health or education operational environments
  • Comfortable working in a 24/7 operational setting
  • Computer skills including Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of WHS compliance and safe work practices
