Job Opportunity

This position involves overseeing the efficient operation of transportation and logistics services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating loads to optimize driver usage and equipment deployment.
  • Organizing vehicle assignments to meet all orders and requests.
  • Maintaining compliance with customer and freight requirements.
  • Providing liaison and advice to internal and external customers.
  • Preparing loading/unloading documentation, including manifests and compliance reports.
  • Analyzing external contractors' run sheets and delivery information for performance management purposes.
  • Managing incidents related to driver operations, including initial reports and investigations.
  • Supervising drivers to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
  • Coordinating repairs and maintenance for company equipment.
  • Participating in operational meetings and OHS discussions.
  • Responding promptly and effectively to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Preparing and managing timely and accurate reports.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Leadership skills to direct and guide staff credibly.
  • Capacity to identify and address operational inefficiencies and service issues.
  • Intimate knowledge of multi-purpose fleet, including prime movers, body trucks, and specialist equipment.
  • Geographical knowledge to allocate and direct drivers effectively.
  • Transport background is preferable but not mandatory, with a solid understanding of relevant policies and legislation.
