Strategic Leadership Opportunity in Specialist Operations

Our organization is seeking a seasoned senior leader to provide executive oversight and strategic direction to our Specialist Operations division.

This role offers a unique chance to drive integration and innovation across the division, enhancing coordination, care, and management of complex patients throughout Victoria.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and guidance on all aspects of the division, ensuring high-quality performance and effective delivery of specialist operations and coordination.
  • Driving organizational change and improvement through data-driven decision making and collaboration with system partners and stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to foster teamwork, internal connection, and effective communication within the division and with external stakeholders.
  • Role modeling best practices in patient care and providing expert knowledge in anticipation of emergency and non-emergency requirements across the community.
  • Leading a safe, lawful, and respectful workplace culture, promoting cultural integration and wellbeing improvements across the region.

About You

Applicants should possess:

  • Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical discipline (medicine, paramedicine, or similar) to understand and perform technical elements of the position.
  • Substantial senior experience in ambulance service operations, including development, implementation, and evaluation of service delivery and operational programs.
  • A strong working knowledge and experience of state-wide telecommunications technology and communications.
  • Proven expertise in advancing clinical knowledge through deep understanding of contemporary ambulance/healthcare issues through sound problem-solving and systems thinking.
  • High-level communication skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • A coaching, mentoring, and leadership approach to managing a large, diverse workforce across multiple locations, with demonstrated success in leading teams through work reforms and change, continuous culture improvement, and professional development focus.
