Senior Manager, Aboriginal Service Design and Governance

This is a senior leadership position within the Aboriginal Initiatives Unit, responsible for providing effective leadership and management of the team responsible for Aboriginal governance structures and policy, project, and reporting support.
Key Responsibilities- Forge strong relationships with Aboriginal communities, services, and organizations to facilitate a partnership approach to achieving strategic priorities.
- Provide facilitation, leadership, and project management support to the Dhelk Dja Governance structures to strategically plan, design, and implement specific actions and funding aligned to the strategic priorities.
- Maintain an understanding of issues impacting stakeholders and projects, and identify and actively manage emerging issues and areas of risk.
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal culture and principles of self-determination.
- Proven highly developed leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of public policy and the political environment in relation to Aboriginal communities and the Aboriginal Affairs reform agenda.
