About the Role

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Service Transition Specialist to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security. This position plays a vital role as the connection point between delivery squads, stakeholders, and program leadership, ensuring that roadmap releases are delivered on time, within scope, and are of high quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop release plans that align with the overall program roadmap and objectives.
  • Coordinate release activities across multiple teams, departments, and external partners to ensure smooth execution.
  • Identify potential risks and dependencies that could impact release timelines or quality.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks and minimize disruptions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working on a large ICT transformation program with a focus on program-wide release planning, coordination, and deployment activities.
  • Proven government experience with a strong understanding of governance protocols and ability to present technical content to executive audiences and governance forums.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and deployment automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge and experience operating within an agile delivery environment and proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
