About the Role

We're seeking an experienced eTrading Engineer to join our client's team in a contract capacity. As a key member of the Financial Markets division, you'll contribute to the development of latency-sensitive algorithmic trading capabilities, sophisticated market-making systems, and quantitative risk management tools.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-performance trading platforms, collaborate with quants and traders, and design innovative solutions for price discovery, alpha signals, and smart order routing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance algorithmic trading systems using Java in a Linux environment.
  • Design and implement solutions for price discovery, alpha signals, smart order routing, and market-making.
  • Collaborate with quants and traders to transform complex business needs into scalable, high-performance technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain analytics and research tools to support trading and risk management strategies.
  • Optimize system performance to ensure low-latency execution across trading platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, including expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity theory.
  • Experience developing solutions for the financial domain, particularly front-office systems.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with traders, quants, and other business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
  • Familiarity with FX, Fixed Income, or other financial markets.
  • Advanced academic qualifications (MS or PhD) in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering low-latency trading platforms.
