About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Buildability Group. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring precise project cost estimation for fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse project specifications and blueprints to comprehend project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather essential information for accurate estimates.
  • Produce comprehensive cost estimates, encompassing materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Conduct meticulous research to obtain current pricing for materials and subcontractor services.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to identify potential cost-saving measures while upholding quality standards.
  • Effectively present and articulate estimates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in bid reviews and engage in negotiations with clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in fit-out and refurbishment construction.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Preferably holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality estimates on time.
