Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Allied Health Assistant to join our Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy teams. This role will provide assistance to physiotherapists and occupational therapists on the Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward at Fitzroy.
- Assist patient mobility practice, supervise patient exercise and therapy across both individual and group sessions, ADL retraining and other duties as directed.
- Implement treatment as directed, including exercises, mobility, ADL retraining and gait aid provision.
- Maintain effective communication with all team members, reporting back to the supervising physiotherapist regarding patient management and progress.
- Administer duties to assist in the daily operation of the Physiotherapy department.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) or willingness to obtain.
