Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Grade 3 Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Northern Health. As an integral member of our inpatient teams, you will be responsible for providing quality client care under the supervision of an Allied Health professional.
The successful candidate will have clinical experience working in an inpatient and group setting, with the ability to work independently within the Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant scope of practice. You will also have experience working under the direction of a Physiotherapist or Allied Health Clinician.
This is a fixed-term part-time position, requiring 45.6 hours per fortnight from October 28th to December 15th, Long Service Leave Cover. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to demonstrate a client-centered focus in the provision of care.
Responsibilities:
- Providing quality client care under the supervision of an Allied Health professional
- Working independently within the Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant scope of practice
- Assisting with administrative tasks and maintaining a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
- Clinical experience working in an inpatient and group setting
- Experience working under the direction of a Physiotherapist or Allied Health Clinician
- Ability to work independently within the Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant scope of practice
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
