Job Purpose
The Internal Auditor is responsible for examining and evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of our internal control systems and procedures. They will support the delivery of an internal audit program and conduct internal audits personally.
This role helps us accomplish our objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to risk, control, and governance processes. The Internal Auditor will provide recommendations for improvement and work closely with key stakeholders to deliver the audit plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of our Internal Audit program in line with the 3 Lines of Defence model.
- Provide senior management and the Board with an opinion on the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of our internal controls.
- Work with the Internal Audit Manager to develop the annual risk-based internal audit plan.
- Maintain the Internal Audit policy and associated procedures.
- Support external audit requests across the Capricorn group as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need a minimum of 3 years' experience in Internal Audit, preferably in large complex organisations or the financial services sector. You should have strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, quantify, and effectively raise business risks.
A Bachelor degree in Commerce or Business and CA/CPA qualification are highly desirable. Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia is also beneficial.
What We Offer
