About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Operational Hotel Manager to lead our team with a high level of customer service provided at all times. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our hotel, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office team, working closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Supervise and motivate team members with leadership skills that drive success across the entire team.
  • Take initiative to ensure all interactions with our guests are positive and productive.
  • In the absence of the General Manager/Front Office Manager, ensure the smooth operation of the hotel, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by guests/customers to achieve win-win situations.
  • Ensure visible management presence on the Front Desk and in the lobby during key times throughout the day.
  • Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests when needed.
  • Respond to and coordinate emergency situations.
  • Assist with preparation and service of all-day dining orders and cafe orders, and assist in the restaurant as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the hotel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera.
  • A focus on providing exceptional guest experiences.
  • The ability to navigate change and provide quick-thinking solutions to problems.
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to support colleagues and maintain open communication with other departments.
  • Clear and confident communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, First Aid, and Food Safety Supervisor training.
  • The ability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
