Offender Rehabilitation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Manage cases for individuals serving community-based orders, including Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders, and Community Corrections Orders.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies while demonstrating decisiveness in managing emotionally charged situations and addressing complex or controversial issues.
    • Work from an office to interact face-to-face with people under supervision, and thrive in a challenging environment while applying cultural sensitivity and awareness.

This role sets the foundation for a meaningful and impactful career in corrections. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience, nationally recognised training, and clear pathways for progression within a leading justice agency.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the NSW criminal justice system, skills in case management, and an understanding of the needs of Aboriginal people and their communities. They will also have a commitment to providing support and strengthening relationships between Community Corrections and local service providers as well as the local Aboriginal community.
