Rehabilitation Specialist

This role involves collaborating with individuals under supervision to develop and implement effective rehabilitation strategies, monitor progress toward established goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions.

You will manage cases for individuals serving community-based orders, including Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders, and Community Corrections Orders. Your focus will be on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualised case plans to support the successful reintegration of offenders into the community upon their release from custody.
  • Work closely with offenders in custody to prepare them for a smooth transition back into the community.
  • Collaborate with local service providers and Aboriginal communities to strengthen relationships and provide ongoing support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • An understanding of the NSW criminal justice system, skills in case management, and an understanding of the needs of Aboriginal people and their communities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all interactions.
  • A strong focus on ensuring community safety and fostering positive relationships between communities and justice agencies.
