Job Title: Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine

A key role exists within the Western Sydney Local Health District, this Permanent 0.4FTE Staff Specialist position is located at Auburn Hospital in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

The successful applicant will be a specialist in rehabilitation medicine, providing medical expertise for admitted patients and across outpatient clinics, including spasticity and Motor Neurone Disease.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and contribute to the success of the WSLHD team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Sound clinical knowledge in rehabilitation medicine and experience in treating complex health conditions
  • Clinical leadership skills, with the ability to manage time and resources efficiently
  • Demonstrated commitment to good governance, achieving results and managing risks
  • Experience in education, training, and research, as applicable to the position

Please note that registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine or equivalent are required. Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency is also necessary.
