About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SOP Review Specialist to join our client's team on a 12-month contract. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for revising and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors, staff, and the agency facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and update SOPs for the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) and Facilities teams to align with current best practices in safety and operational protocols.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and risk assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop a programme of works with agreed timeframes and milestones upon contract commencement.
  • Analyse and report on customer feedback to inform future improvements.
About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work independently and proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in SOP development, facilities management, business continuity, and/or emergency management is highly desirable.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in SOP review and implementation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Customer-focused with strong analytical skills.
  • Able to perform independently and meet the responsibilities of an APS5 level.
Engagement Details

The initial phase of this role involves gathering information and building an understanding of project timeframes. A programme of works will be established and committed to at the start of the contract. This position is based in Canberra, offering a competitive salary of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
