Customer Service and Freight Forwarding Expert

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding professional to join our team as a customer service expert. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to excel in providing exceptional customer service and freight forwarding expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained, and accurate information is recorded and up-to-date.
  • Create and monitor orders in a timely manner, informing overseas clients about intended shipments, ready dates, and carrier selection.
  • Collaborate with Air and Sea Product Managers during peak times to meet customer expectations and communicate market information.
  • Regularly visit customers to build relationships and understand continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor daily operations through each key area of freight forwarding for designated accounts.
  • Work closely with the Customs team and government departments to ensure compliance and timely clearance of cargo.
  • Keep clients updated on delivery times and schedules where required.
  • Assist in managing container detention risks and communicating with clients.
  • Support Sales & Management during the implementation of new business initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A thorough understanding and experience in freight forwarding.
  • Customer Service Executive experience.
  • Substantial Customer Service experience gained within freight forwarding is essential.
  • Pricing, quotation, and CargoWise experience are essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • A highly motivated, proactive attitude, taking preventive actions for customer satisfaction.
  • Innovative, demonstrating initiative, and being highly adaptive to changing environments.
  • A co-operative working style, informing internal stakeholders/departments proactively.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills.
