Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned insurance professional to lead our Affinity team in Melbourne. As a Principal Broker, you will be responsible for the growth and profitability of a book of business containing large not-for-profit accounts.

Your primary focus will be on managing and developing client relationships, acting as their trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying Marsh products and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop long-term relationships with key client decision-makers.
  • Take a proactive approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery.
  • Implement successful account retention and defence strategies.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and administrative staff.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance qualification.
  • A Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) is highly desirable.
  • No less than 5 years' experience in insurance broking.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team.
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
