We are seeking a visionary leader to manage our 70-place early childhood centre in Newtown, catering to children aged 0-6 years. As Childcare Director, you will oversee the daily operations, foster a culture of inquiry, and lead change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing programs, systems, and operational processes for efficient centre management
  • Maintaining accurate reporting, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Establishing positive relationships with suppliers through effective communication
  • Fostering open professional relationships with families, children, and staff
  • Providing guidance, support, and mentoring to centre staff members
  • Managing the centre's budget, ensuring expenditure aligns with established frameworks
  • Ensuring adherence to centre policies, licensing requirements, and legislation
  • Coordinating rosters and staffing to maintain a well-organized environment
  • Supporting staff in their professional development and goal achievement

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and registration with NESA
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Centre Director
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis Training, and Asthma Management Training
  • Exceptional leadership skills, team management expertise, and excellent communication abilities
  • A solid understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standards and national assessment and rating system
