Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team at White Fox Boutique Pty. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, minimizing risks, and optimizing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to manage inventory flow, drive sales, and minimize risks. Collaborate with the Merchandise Manager to achieve monthly forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide weekly summaries of key performance indicators (KPIs) to the merchandising team and wider business, including sales, stock, profit, and budget versus last year.
  • Opportunity Identification: Review sales at style and category level to identify opportunities and risks, making recommendations to maximize and mitigate.
  • Post-Seasonal Reviews: Conduct monthly post-seasonal reviews in line with the critical path to analyze sales performance and inform future planning.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Perform ad-hoc reporting as required by the business and across different business units to support data-driven decision making.
  • Analytics-Driven Decision Making: Consistently use analytics to inform decision making and shape merchandising strategies.
  • Replenishment and Product Performance: Track replenishment and product performance against forecasts to identify areas of opportunity and risk for sales, planning, and merchandising.
  • Category Strategies: Develop short-term and long-term category strategies with the Buyer to maximize business trade.
  • Core Line Management: Manage and forecast core lines based on sales trends to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Stock Efficiency: Help maintain a Clear As You Go strategy to keep stock levels efficient.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and be heavily involved in ad-hoc projects across the merchandising team and business, building relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices in current systems and processes, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Merchandise Planning role, with experience in E-commerce and a fashion retailer preferred.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Strong collaboration and teamwork focus, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Aptitude for numbers and an outstanding attention to detail, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, with a can-do and positive attitude.
  • Self-Motivation: Able to manage own priorities, set own work objectives, and proactively identify business issues and develop creative solutions.
