About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director to join our team at Universal Music Australia Pty Limited. As a key member of our merchandising department, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and achieving commercial targets in the Australia and New Zealand markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy and Execution
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and achieve commercial targets in the Australia and New Zealand markets.
    • Manage relationships with key accounts and negotiate sales agreements to meet business objectives.
    • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management.
  • Business Development
    • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our reach in new and non-traditional markets.
    • Collaborate with the design team to develop trend presentations and product ranges.
    • Liaise with buyers, QA, and planners from respective retail partners to ensure successful product launches.
  • Product Management
    • Develop strategies to integrate new product categories into our existing sales structure.
    • Assist in ensuring all sample garments are correct and attend retailer fit sessions.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to develop product ranges and pricing policies.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with the General Manager and Head of Bravado to develop and execute business strategies.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in an account management or business development role within the fashion retail and licensing industry.
  • Skills
    • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Education
    • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
