Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive analyses of historical sales data to develop seasonal category strategies, identifying market opportunities to foster growth.
  • Creating and maintaining store grading plans across various distribution channels, informed by customer demographics and sales trends.
  • Formulating range plans that determine optimal product assortment, applying statistical and trend analysis to support effective purchasing decisions.
  • Overseeing the Open-to-Buy process for designated product categories.
  • Monitoring in-season trading performance, recommending pricing strategies and promotional activities to maximize margins.
  • Allocating new product lines and managing replenishment based on sales forecasts and market demographics.
  • Coordinating the execution of promotional events and marketing campaigns, ensuring adherence to critical deadlines.
  • Providing accurate statistical insights to internal stakeholders through data analysis.
  • Participating in weekly management meetings to discuss trading performance and strategic objectives.
  • Visiting retail locations to offer support and address sales or range policy issues.

Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience in merchandise planning within the fashion or accessories retail sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen and retail insight.
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales, profit, and margin targets.
  • In-depth understanding of industry trends.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with effective communication capabilities.
  • Results-oriented and deadline-driven approach.
  • Proficient in advanced merchandise planning applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
