Job Opportunity

The Traineeship Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Indigenous Health Workforce Traineeship (IHWT) program across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in Western Australia.

About the IHWT Program
  • Enhance the number of skilled Aboriginal people working in the Aboriginal healthcare sector;
  • Create viable career pathways in the health and community services sector for Aboriginal people; and
  • Build the capacity of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services to provide culturally appropriate healthcare to Aboriginal people.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the IHWT program, ensuring successful implementation and achievement of its objectives;
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and other relevant organisations;
  3. Manage program administration, recruitment, training, and development tasks, as required;
  4. Collaborate with management and employees at all levels of the organisation to ensure effective communication and teamwork;
  5. Plan and coordinate own workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines;
  6. Draft correspondence, edit documents, and write reports, demonstrating strong written communication skills.

Please note: In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA 'C' Class Driver's Licence and a National Police Clearance dated within 3 months prior to appointment.
