Job Overview

The Indigenous Health Workforce Traineeship (IHWT) Program is seeking an experienced professional to coordinate the program across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for increasing the number of skilled Aboriginal people working in the Aboriginal health care sector.

About the Role

The Traineeship Program Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the IHWT Program across ACCHS in Western Australia
  • Developing and implementing program strategies to increase the number of skilled Aboriginal people working in the Aboriginal health care sector
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build the capacity of ACCHS to provide culturally appropriate health care to Aboriginal people
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of program administration and project management principles
  • Experience in recruitment, training and development, or a related field
  • An understanding of the vocational education and training sector and navigating the intricacies and frameworks of qualifications delivered by Registered Training Organisations
  • Well-developed administrative skills, including strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with applicants, external organisations, management and employees at all levels of the organisation
