Job Summary:

Program Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Indigenous Health Workforce Traineeship (IHWT) Program across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) in Western Australia.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal people. The successful candidate will have experience in program administration, recruitment, training and development, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the IHWT Program across ACCHS in Western Australia;
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the number of skilled Aboriginal people working in the Aboriginal health care sector;
  • Work with stakeholders to build the capacity of ACCHS to provide culturally appropriate health care to Aboriginal people;
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in program/project administration, recruitment, training and development, or a related field;
  • An understanding of the vocational education and training (VET) sector and navigating the intricacies and frameworks of qualifications delivered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs);
  • Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with applicants, external organisations, management and employees at all levels of the organisation;
  • The ability to work within a multicultural organisation where the majority of employees, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
