Key Role Summary

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients to ensure their insurance and risk management needs are fully met.

Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Ensure clients' insurance and risk management needs are fully met through effective portfolio management strategies.
  • Business Development – Identify and develop new business prospects by cross-marketing opportunities with key stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building - Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance markets and distribution partners.
  • Client Advice – Provide personalized advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance program needs.
  • Claims - Ensure timely and favourable settlement of claims by following up claims with internal Claims Department or Insurer Claims Officer.
Requirements:
  • Be capable of following directions and working collaboratively with others, while also being self-motivated and able to manage own workload effectively.
  • Be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and adapt when necessary to meet client needs.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, quality standards, and compliance to ensure accuracy and integrity in all work activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Diploma of Insurance broking or equivalent tertiary education preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years insurance broking experience within the financial services industry with local and international markets.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, legislative obligations, and claim processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • WinBEAT/OrganiseIT experience or other similar software experience is an asset.
