This role focuses on providing mental health support to individuals, helping them achieve their goals and improve their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:- Support clients with emotional and practical needs.
- Assist in navigating available mental health services and resources.
- Establish a safe environment for discussing mental health and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
- Deliver culturally sensitive support aligned with community values.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Empower clients and their families with knowledge of mental health management.
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of mental health issues within Aboriginal communities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and engagement with Aboriginal communities.
- Shift work (30 hours per week)
