**Job Title:** Rehabilitation Consultant

As a specialist in rehabilitation support, you will form part of a dedicated team that provides individualised assistance to individuals seeking registration as psychologists.

The role offers unique opportunities for developing skills and knowledge in psychological practice, board-approved supervision, professional development, and assessment tasks. You will be exposed to key learning objectives and prepared for the National Psychology Exam.

This health and workplace rehabilitation provider has extensive experience in delivering outstanding rehab services to clients. We are committed to staff development and training, providing a supportive and collaborative team culture, and offering induction programs and regular staff training sessions.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing client portfolios with psychological disorders, creating and monitoring rehabilitation plans, and facilitating their return to work. This will involve conducting motivational interviews, influencing stakeholders, and achieving optimal outcomes.

Key daily tasks will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients with psychological or physical injuries
  • Completing initial and psychometric assessments to identify suitable goals
  • Identifying barriers preventing clients from returning to work
  • Organising intervention with stakeholders
  • Providing vocational counselling
  • Conducting Vocational Assessments
  • Attending medical appointments and structured intervention-based programs with clients
  • Preparing reports after assessments and meetings
  • Communicating with medical professionals regarding diagnoses and treatment
  • Facilitating safe and timely graduated return to work

To succeed in this role, Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor is required, along with Registration with AHPRA as a Provisional Psychologist or Psychologist, a valid car driver's license, and a Police check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.
