We are seeking a seasoned underwriter with strong commercial acumen and a digital mindset who can balance risk with opportunity, lead change, and collaborate across teams to drive underwriting excellence and innovation.

  • Underwrite and analyse renewal and new business opportunities within delegated authority levels.

  • Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to deliver tailored property insurance solutions.

  • Leverage data insights and digital tools to inform pricing, coverage decisions, and risk assessments.

  • Partner across Claims, Distribution, and other underwriting lines to support multi-line opportunities.

  • Contribute to underwriting innovation by sharing insights and supporting proposition development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of insurance experience, including motor underwriting and sales.

  • A business degree or equivalent, with ANZIIF CIP Senior Insurance Qualification.

  • Proven success in driving digital transformation or innovation within underwriting.

  • Strong understanding of underwriting systems, digital platforms, and data analytics.

  • Skilled in risk assessment using both traditional and digital methodologies.

  • Effective communicator and collaborator with internal teams and external partners.
