We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Motor Underwriter. As a key player in our organisation, you will be responsible for analysing and underwriting renewal and new business opportunities within delegated authority levels.
The successful candidate will have 6+ years of experience in insurance, including motor underwriting and sales. A business degree or equivalent is required, along with the ANZIIF CIP Senior Insurance Qualification. Proven success in driving digital transformation or innovation within underwriting is essential.
A strong understanding of underwriting systems, digital platforms, and data analytics is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be skilled in risk assessment using both traditional and digital methodologies. Effective communication and collaboration skills are vital for this role.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and analyse renewal and new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to deliver tailored property insurance solutions.
- Leverage data insights and digital tools to inform pricing, coverage decisions, and risk assessments.
- Partner across Claims, Distribution, and other underwriting lines to support multi-line opportunities.
- Contribute to underwriting innovation by sharing insights and supporting proposition development.
- About You:
- 6+ years of insurance experience, including motor underwriting and sales.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with ANZIIF CIP Senior Insurance Qualification.
- Proven success in driving digital transformation or innovation within underwriting.
- Strong understanding of underwriting systems, digital platforms, and data analytics.
- Skilled in risk assessment using both traditional and digital methodologies.
- Effective communicator and collaborator with internal teams and external partners.
