You'll collaborate with distribution partners, product teams, and fellow underwriters to drive growth, innovation, and underwriting excellence in insurance.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Underwriting and analysing renewal and new business opportunities within delegated authority levels
  • Collaborating with brokers and internal teams to deliver tailored property insurance solutions
  • Leveraging data insights and digital tools to inform pricing, coverage decisions, and risk assessments
  • Partnering across claims, distribution, and other underwriting lines to support multi-line opportunities
  • Contributing to underwriting innovation by sharing insights and supporting proposition development

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • 6+ years of experience in insurance, including motor underwriting and sales
  • A business degree or equivalent, with ANZIIF CIP Senior Insurance Qualification
  • Proven success in driving digital transformation or innovation within underwriting
  • A strong understanding of underwriting systems, digital platforms, and data analytics
  • Skill in risk assessment using both traditional and digital methodologies
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners
