About the Opportunity

We're seeking a passionate Senior Sous & Sous Chef to lead and inspire our kitchen team, while ensuring smooth daily operations. You'll provide hands-on leadership, guide culinary innovation, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.

Main Role Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Food Production & Presentation: Ensure high quality and consistency of dishes.
  • Assist in All Sections of the Kitchen: Assist during service when required.
  • Assist Head Chef with Management: Profit and loss management, crew rosters, and timesheets.
  • Ensure Kitchen Readiness: Set up for service and supervise the BOH team.
  • Stock Control: Responsible for stock control within the kitchen.
  • Crew Development: Recruit, mentor, train, and develop crew members.
Experience, Skills & Attributes:
  • Leadership Experience: Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef with a la carte restaurant experience.
  • High-Energy Environment: Exposure to fast-paced work environments.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Asian cuisine knowledge and experience is advantageous.
  • Effective Leadership: Focus on staff development and effective relationships.
  • Administrative Skills: Experience in rostering, ordering, and basic financials.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to build effective relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Adaptable to change and solution-focused.
  • Initiative: Possess initiative and a willingness to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
