Administrative Support Role

The Protective Services Group is responsible for providing security services to state government departments across Queensland, including rural and remote communities. As the administrative support professional, you will provide essential assistance to the Officer in Charge by compiling staff rosters and performing associated duties.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Roster Management: Collaborate with the Officer in Charge/Team Management to compile and maintain accurate staff rosters, taking into account budgetary, industrial, and operational requirements.
  • Leave Monitoring: Identify and report any unplanned leave trends to the Officer in Charge/Manager, ensuring effective roster management and minimizing disruptions.
  • Special Service Needs: Assist with managing special service requests, including invoicing and reconciliation of returns, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Training Records: Maintain up-to-date divisional training records and monitor training requirements for all employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Equity Requirements: Monitor and maintain equity requirements and associated budgets as outlined in relevant Industrial Instruments, promoting fairness and equality within the organization.
  • Correspondence and Returns: Process correspondence, statistics, and associated returns according to approved procedures, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
  • Employee Advice: Provide guidance to employees regarding Industrial and Enterprise Bargaining Agreement matters, supporting their understanding of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement using continuous quality management approaches, collaborating with colleagues to implement changes and enhance overall performance.
