Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Research Fellow to join our team in the Childlight UNSW Hub. As a Research Fellow, you will play a crucial role in engaging potential research partners and sourcing collaborations in the Asia-Pacific region. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact research that has the potential to make a real difference in the lives of children.

About the Role

This fixed-term position (3 years) is a full-time opportunity (35 hours per week). The successful candidate will be based in Randwick and will work collaboratively with our team to achieve our research objectives. You will report directly to the Head of School of Social Sciences and indirectly to the Director of the Childlight UNSW Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an external engagement strategy to initiate and strengthen collaborations in the Asia-Pacific region for the Childlight UNSW Hub
  • Contribute to research projects that have a significant impact on the strategic work of the Hub, focusing on child sexual abuse and exploitation in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Mentor and guide students, groups, and colleagues; supervise Honours and HDR students to timely completion as a joint or secondary supervisor
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments
  • Demonstrated track record in developing research collaborations and related opportunities, preferably in the Asia-Pacific region research with outcomes of high quality and high impact
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including:

  • An estimated annual salary of $123,620 - $145,730
  • 17% Superannuation contributions and additional leave loading payments
  • Additional 3 days of leave over Christmas period
