Job Summary:

The University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Data Research Expert to provide expert technical and research support to multidisciplinary research teams.

This role involves developing and testing frameworks to ensure trustworthy data sharing and use, particularly in the context of products derived from data, including those created by AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research support activities, including literature reviews, framework development, and testing.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Respond to complex enquiries relating to the research study.
  • Execute data cleaning and ensure research integrity in research databases.
  • Draft and edit research and progress reports, publications, presentations, ethics and grant applications.
  • Undertake independent research tasks consistent with established methodologies (may include lab or field work).
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Conduct routine data verification and collection audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A tertiary degree in Computer Science and Engineering with relevant experience supporting a research project.
  • Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office software and other applications or systems/databases for research.

Estimated Salary: AU$ 80,000 - AU$ 110,000 per annum

This role will suit an individual who is highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
