Research Officer

We are seeking a talented Research Officer to join our Systems Immunology group at Garvan Institute of Medical Research. As a key member of our team, you will conduct original research under limited supervision and make significant contributions in various areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research projects efficiently and effectively, with outcomes published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to team and Garvan research projects, driving innovation and progress.
- Present original research at national and international scientific conferences, sharing your expertise with global audiences.
- Co-supervise and mentor students and junior research staff, fostering growth and development.
- Provide expert guidance in preparing research grant proposals, including data contribution.
- PhD degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent statistical knowledge and programming skills, with proficiency in R or Python.
- Strong understanding of biology and immunology, with a background in genomics data analysis.
- Prior experience working with Unix, HPC environments, and software containers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of publications.
